Sikaflex 221 is a high-quality multi-purpose 1-component polyurethane adhesive / sealant that cures on exposure to atmospheric humidity. It is suitable for internal sealing and simple bonding applications.

• Product Type: Sikaflex-221 is a one-component, high-quality polyurethane sealant and adhesive that cures on exposure to atmospheric moisture.

• Applications: Suitable for internal sealing and simple bonding tasks in automotive, marine, and industrial contexts. Adheres well to a wide range of substrates including metals, wood, plastics (excluding PE, PP, or PTFE), and painted surfaces.
• Curing Mechanism: Moisture-curing polyurethane
• Skin Time: Approximately 60 minutes at 23°C and 50% relative humidity
• Full Cure Time: Approximately 3-5 mm per 24 hours
• Paintability: Can be painted over once a skin has formed (compatibility should be tested).
• Temperature Resistance: Service temperature range from -40°C to +90°C (short-term resistance up to +120°C)
• Storage Conditions: Store in a cool, dry place at temperatures between +10°C and +25°C. Avoid direct sunlight.
• Shelf Life: Approximately 12 months from date of production in unopened packaging
• Environmental & Safety Notes: Contains polyurethane prepolymers. Use in a well-ventilated area. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Dispose of in accordance with local regulations. Safety data sheet (SDS) available upon request.
